A Step-by-Step Guide to Transforming Your Loft
Stage 1 – Preparation & Setup: Scaffolding is erected, materials are delivered, and the site is prepared for construction. A new structural floor is installed to ensure strength, safety, and compliance.
Stage 2 – Structural Works: We construct the main structural elements, including dormers (if required) and internal framework. This stage forms the core shape and layout of your loft conversion.
Stage 3 – First Fix Services: Electrical and plumbing first-fix works are carried out, alongside insulation and floor preparation. All essential services are carefully positioned before walls are closed.
Stage 4 – Internal Formation: Plaster boarding is installed and the new staircase is fitted to connect the loft seamlessly with the rest of the home. The space now begins to feel like a real room.
Stage 5 – Plastering & Roofing: Plastering works are completed to achieve smooth internal finishes, while roofing elements are finalised to ensure the loft is fully weatherproof.
Stage 6 – Second Fix Works: Second-fix carpentry, electrics, and plumbing are completed. This includes doors, skirting, sockets, lighting, and bathroom fittings where applicable.
Stage 7 – Quality Control & Finishing: A thorough quality inspection is carried out to ensure all work meets our standards. The space is cleaned inside and out, ready for final use.
Stage 8 – Completion & Handover: Final decorative works are completed, scaffolding is removed, and the loft conversion is handed over. We walk you through the finished space to ensure everything meets your expectations.
